Cannibal Holocaust (1980):
When I hear about a movie where the director was actually jailed for making it, I have to see it. Banned in dozens of countries, filmed in South America, it is a 'cinema verite' indictment of "Gonzo Journalism" and media exploitation. This horrid "film" is the most disgusting, sick, perverted thing I've ever seen. The most racist, sexist, cruel to animals... perhaps I agree with the director's arrest.
I am no better for seeing it, couldn't finish it (that's a first!), and cannot recommend.
